About Kevin

Kevin Leon Felderhoff's woodworking journey began in a high school shop class in Muenster, Texas, where an inspiring teacher sparked a lifelong dedication to craftsmanship. For his senior project, he built two roll-top desks—setting the stage for a career of meaningful artistry. He later earned a B.S. in Industrial Technology (Construction Management focus) from Texas State University, San Marcos, where he began designing heirloom-quality furniture from reclaimed barnwood and mesquite—an early expression of his dedication to sustainable materials.

Now based in Brevard, North Carolina, Kevin takes creative cues from the Appalachian forests around his workshop. He transforms fallen and raw wood into elegant, one-of-a-kind works—signature pieces such as wooden cowboy hats, segmented hardwood footballs, and mesquite items inlaid with turquoise reveal both his artistic flair and commitment to tradition. Meet the Team — KLF’s Furry Supervisors

Rudy is our seasoned Official Shop Dog and four-legged brand ambassador. This English Cream Golden Retriever brings unmatched charm—equally comfortable rolling in wood shavings (which he insists are for more than just sweeping up!) or greeting visitors with a wagging tail.

Roxie, still in training for her “furry supervisor” role, is already showing promise in the vital tasks of cuteness, curiosity, and keeping morale high. Whether she’s investigating the latest project or napping in the coziest corner, she adds a spark of energy and joy to the shop.

Together, Rudy and Roxie bring warmth, character, and plenty of fun to the KLF Wood Designs studio atmosphere.
